5 Tips on How to Control Your Emotions

Emotion is a feeling such as happiness, love, fear, anger,or hatred, which can be caused by the situation that you are in or the people you are with. All of us go through it, we feel positive and negative emotions all the time and that is completely normal. Nevertheless, these feelings are not going away so all we can do is learn how to control our emotions and/or actions based on them. In this blog I am going to teach you how to take control over your emotions and that will help you overall to take control over your desicions, your life in general, etc.
1-Meditation- Meditation is a breathing and mental exercises you have to practice daily for it to work, it includes benefits such as better memory, better concentration and it has even prooved to feel less physical pain due to the expertise in meditation. I made a blog explaining on what are the step by step process so if you have not read it yet, go ahead and check it out so you can understand this better.
2-Sleep- It is proven that if you do not get enough high quality sleep you will struggle with concentration, memory,etc. So this will be an important factor as well if you want to make a positive change in your life that being, taking control over your emotions
3-Nutrition- We all know that eating healthy and balanced is good for our body physically. But did you know that it is equally as important for the brain? Example; if you go and eat fast food everyday , that will not only make you obese, it will most likely give or worsen mood swings, depression, anxiety, etc.
4-Make a small to do list- Make or plan a list for the next day of tasks that need to be done. This list will be general but it is important that you write it from important to less important task. This will help you clear your mind and make you feel relieved and accomplished at the end of the day.
5-Speak with a psychologist- I feel like this is a sensitive topic when it really should not be at all. It is very important that you speak with a profesional about your mental health even if you feel like you dont need it because you feel ok, like a regular check up. Mental health is equally as important as physical health and going to a psychologist is normal!!!!
